CASE STUDY

FLOWER SHOPPING APP

Plant shopping app allows customers to discover the best plants for both their gardens and indoor spaces, while providing expert tips on planting and care. Customers can easily order plants for home delivery, and clearly see which plants are available for pick-up and which can be shipped directly to their door.

As avid plant enthusiasts with our own gardens, we understand the joy of adding new plants to our collections. However, with our busy schedules, we often prefer the convenience of ordering plants online. Unfortunately, our experiences with many plant shop websites have been frustrating and time-consuming. This project was born out of our shared desire to improve the user experience for fellow plant lovers. By evaluating and redesigning the website, we aimed to create a more intuitive and efficient platform for purchasing plants, making it easier for customers to find what they need and complete their orders without unnecessary hassle.

Problems:
Unclear information when seedlings are not available for purchase or not possible to ship to the customer.
Unclear and inefficient interface, the amount of information feels overwhelming when it is not relevant.
It is difficult to understand when and why participation in the process takes so long
The chat is difficult to use and loads information slowly, creating frustration.

Solutions:
Make the product charts more intuitive so that the user can easily see when and how participation is possible.
Create a more logical navigation structure that simplifies the user experience.
Personalized and enhanced chat feature: Make chat more personal and responsive.

Research: We have based our work on both qualitative and quantitative research. The qualitative research includes our user tests, while the quantitative research includes, among other things, the interviews we conducted. In this case, we interviewed 10 people.

During the usability test, it was found that the biggest challenge the user faced was identifying which plants were available for home delivery. They missed a simple way to add items to the shopping cart. They also preferred a cleaner landing page with a deeper structure.
